Chandrababu Deceiving People Since The Last Budget
Andhra Pradesh is all set for the Assembly elections soon, in the meantime, the current Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is showering sops on the people of the state, while some of them are copies, others are far from reality as they are not being backed by proper allocations in the budget.
Farm loan waiver to the farmers, loan waiver to DWCRA groups, job to every household, unemployment allowance, building capital with international standards were the assurances which Chandrababu promised at the time of 2014 general elections.
These are the same issues In 2019, only the names of the schemes have been changed. In 4 months, a new government will take charge. Generally, the budget before the election is submitted for mandatory expenses, salaries of the employees but the Chandrababu government has put forward a complete budget as if it were a regular year.
Annadata sukibhava is a new scheme announced by the finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishunudu. A total of Rs 5000 crore has been granted to it out of the Rs 18000 crore grant to the sector of agriculture. Under this scheme Rs 10,000 will be given to farmers per acre. Further details about the scheme are unknown. However, the media channels supporting him are widely publishing the scheme.
Andhra Pradesh has a total of 1.60 crores of farming land, if Rs 10,000 is being provided for every acre then the amount would be Rs 16,000 crore. This scheme is a copy of the navaratnalu announced by the leader of the opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. YS Jagan announced Rs 12,500 to the 85 lakh farmers, this amounts to Rs 10,600 crore. But the budget allocation to the scheme stood at Rs 5000 crore not Rs 16,000 crore or Rs 10,600 crore according to the original scheme stated by YS Jagan.
This is the same with DWCRA group. First, the government announced a loan waiver never fulfilled it, now announced that Rs 10,000 will be given to them.
For all the 93 lakh DWCRA women in the state Rs 9,300 crore has to granted by only Rs 4,000 crore has been granted. Till the month of April Rs 1700 crore have sanctioned making the total to Rs 5,700 crore. The Rs 10,000 which has been announced is also a part of the loan.
As Chandrababu hoodwinked the people from different communities in the manifesto, he has come up with new caste-based corporations to cheat the people. As per the budget Rs 3,000 crore has been allocated to 35 castes’. However, not even Rs 100 crore have been assigned to each community.
Rs 18,000 crore has been spent for the welfare of the BCs in the state, which is a paltry amount and suddenly Rs 16,000 crore has been announced this year.
For the Kapu community, Rs 1000 crore has been announced for every year but the amount sanctioned in the past four years is Rs 1400 crore. However, Chandrababu has announced that another Rs 1000 crore will be allocated for this year.
Important things have been neglected in the budget and only 50% has been allocated to the sectors where there is a need. Of the allocated funds only 60% will be spent.
Critics are wondering if Chandrababu is trying to portray all the amount released in the four years as only releases in this single year. All this gimmickry just to win the upcoming elections.
