Vangaveeti Radha’s TDP Entry Ruffles Kapu Feathers

Vangaveeti Radha’s TDP Entry Ruffles Kapu Feathers - Sakshi Post

The recent buzz surrounding the entry of Vangaveeti Radha, son of slain Kapu leader Vangaveeti Ranga into the TDP has not gone down well with a large section of the late Congress leader's supporters, particularly the Kapu comunity, it is learned.

A large section of the Kapu community and mainly followers of Vangaveeti Ranga at that are repotedly upset that his son, Radha had decided to join hands with the very party that was rumoured to be behind his father's murder.

Some Kapu leaders are learned to have discussed this matter among themselves and were planning to take it up with Radha since they felt that it was a matter of the honour of the community at large.

According to reports, some of them have expressed the opinion that there can be no compromise on the issue of Kapu self-respct and Radha's entry into TDP would negate the very principle of the ideals the late Ranga stood for.

Seen in the backdrop of the upcoming elections, this simmering discontent could lead to a large section of the Kapu community moving away from the ruling party not just in Vijayawada but elsewhere in the state, analysts say.
