Minister Atchannaidu Demands Votes For TDP In Srikakulam
Tekkali: In our democracy, people expect a great deal of respect from the political leaders who are placed in top ministerial positions. However, even after holding such high posts, some of the Ministers make a mockery out of themselves with their unnecessary remarks.
Transport Minister Atchannaidu, as a part of his campaign visit to Kotabommali mandal in Srikakulam district spoke in a public meeting at Santhamaidan.
In his speech, the Minister made some controversial statements where he asked the party leaders to demand the voters to elect TDP stating that the public has utilized several welfare schemes implemented by the ruling party. Claiming that the public has extorted money from the state government via the schemes, Atchannaidu asserted that they have to exercise their vote only to TDP.
While some laughed his comments away, others lamented on the Minister's behaviour. With the elections nearby, the Minister's remarks are becoming a huge topic of debate.
