MP TG Venkatesh Hints At TDP Poll Alliance With Jana Sena

TDP MP TG Venkatesh and Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: TDP MP in the Rajya Sabha, TG Venkatesh stated that his party would have a poll alliance with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena. In this context, he said that when Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati could come together in UP ending decades of hostility, what was wrong if the TDP tied up with the Jana Sena. The TDP MP addressed media persons right after meeting Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Undavalli on Wednesday.

TG Venkatesh added that going forward, the two parties will decide on seat adjustments in March. The Rajya Sabha MP stated emphatically that there would be a poll pact between TDP and Jana Sena. He also said that his son was likely to get the Kurnool seat. The TDP MP remarked that surveys revealed extensive public support for his son.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan did not take kindly to TG Venkatesh's comments on a poll alliance between the two parties. But the matter did not end there. TG Venkatesh had a bit of advice for the actor turned politician. The Rajya Sabha MP told mediamen that Pawan would have a bright future if he kept his temper in check. All that he said was that there was a poll alliance with Jana Sena, he added.

TG Venkatesh's remarks did not go down well with the party supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, it is learnt. The TDP chief is reported to have told party leaders not to discuss alliances.
