People Of AP Should Be Vigilant About Chandrababu Naidu’s Deception: YSRCP - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Senior YSR Congress party leader and general secretary, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that it was the former chief minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and founder of the Telugu Desam Party, Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao (NTR), who described his son-in-law, current chief minister of the state, Chandrababu Naidu, as a man with a meaner nature than Nathuram Godse, Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin.

He said that NTR’s remarks assume greater relevance today, especially since his death anniversary fell on Friday.

The senior YSR Congress party leader reminded media persons at the party headquarters here that Telugu Desam as a political entity was born out of anti-Congressism.

It was founded by the late NTR to fight against the Congress-ruled Centre and its domination over the states. NTR had established the party on the plank of Telugu pride and honour. The biggest irony is that Chandrababu Naidu now talks of Telugu pride. He claims that no one can stop Telugus from moving forward, he said.

The senior YSR Congress party leader stated that Chandrababu Naidu wants the people of Andhra Pradesh and elsewhere, to forget that it was he who had stabbed his father in law, NTR, in the back to hijack his party the TDP, along with the flag and grab power. The Telugu Desam party established by NTR has long been transformed and the DNA of Chandrababu Naidu got infused into it, he remarked.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy pointed out that the Telangana Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to build a Federal Front, a national alternative to the BJP and Congress. It was in this context that the TRS leadership reached out to the YSR Congress party president, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the other day.

The panicky reaction from Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders, shows how unpopular they have become and how desperate they are to indulge in mudslinging, hoping they can gain political mileage.

The senior YSR Congress party leader remarked that KCR, who came to power after the 2018 elections, had repeatedly stated that he was trying to put together a Federal Front to protect the interests of the states. The TRS supremo met leaders from various states to take this idea forward, among them YS Jagan.

When it comes to the interests of Andhra Pradesh, KCR and declared his support to the cause of SCS to the state and had even offered to write a letter to the Centre on this issue backing YSRCP’s long-standing demand.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had repeatedly stated that his party would not have a poll alliance with anyone and that the YSRCP would go it alone in the elections.

YS Jagan believes in and practises value-based politics, he pointed out. The YSR Congress party president stayed away from the BJP in 2014 though he was invited to join the NDA as an electoral partner at that time, he reminded media men. YS Jagan has made it amply clear in many of his interviews to the media that important national parties, Congress and BJP have let the country down.

The YSRCP chief has explicitly stated that there is no question of the party going into the elections with an electoral partner.

The senior YSRCP leader observed that Chandrababu Naidu, on the other hand, was an alliance partner of the BJP at the Centre for four years during which he has no achievements to show.

He settled for a special package in place of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh and even got a resolution passed in the state assembly hailing the Special Package. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, ridiculed the leader of the opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the assembly when the YSR Congress party president stressed upon the need for SCS to the state, he recalled.

He reminded the media that Chandrababu Naidu questioned the relevance of SCS and wondered if it was a Sanjeevani or a magic cure!

It was only after Chandrababu Naidu realised the impact of the relentless struggle being waged by the Leader of the Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for the cause of SCS that Chandrababu Naidu also started to sing a different tune in support of SCS to AP, he pointed out.

Today, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has run out of electoral partners and finds the BJP a risky ally to go with in AP in the upcoming polls. Having no other place to go, Chandrababu Naidu embraced the Congress claiming that he is taking forward the idea of a national political alternative led by the Congress, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said.

Importantly, the Congress has no presence in Andhra Pradesh, he pointed out. Though the TDP was trying to carry out a smear campaign against YS Jagan and his party through its handpicked yellow media outlets, the people of the state know that the TRS has no interest in AP politics.

The senior YSRCP leader commented that Chandrababu Naidu was in the habit of creating an imaginary enemy such as KCR and then pretend to wage a struggle against him. Tomorrow, Chandrababu Naidu might say that Donald Trump is an enemy to AP’s interests and pretend to fight against him, he added.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy pointed out that after neglecting the people of the state for nearly 5 years, Chandrababu Naidu was now showering benefits through a host of promises. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has betrayed every single commitment made by the TDP in the 2014 elections, he observed.

Chandrababu Naidu and his party men seem to underestimate the intelligence of the people of Andhra Pradesh, he said. The senior YSRCP leader clarified that the YSRCP stood for AP-centric politics.

Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy criticised the Chandrababu Naidu regime for running a mafia like government and treating bureaucrats like TDP men. Neither YS Jagan nor the YSRCP said that they do not have faith in the Andhra Pradesh police, he clarified. The politicisation of the police force was a dangerous thing which Chandrababu Naidu had done, he pointed out.

The manner in which the state DGP, the highest police official spoke after the murder attempt on YS Jagan at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, 2018, is a sad reflection of the politicisation of the police force in the state, he said.
