Chandrababu’s Absurd Criticism, An Outcome Of Panic: Bhumana

YSR Congress Party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy - Sakshi Post

Tirupati: Senior YSR Congress Party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy lashed out at Andhra Pradesh chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu, for his mindless criticism of the meeting between Telangana Rashtra Samithi's senior leader, K. Tarakarama Rao (KTR) and YSR Congress Party President, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Bhumana pointed out that KTR had called on the YSRCP chief at the behest of the Telangana chief minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, who is attempting to forge a Federal Front at the national level comprising like-minded political forces.

The senior YSR Congress Party leader asserted that the meeting between the TRS leader and the YSRCP chief was purely for the benefits and interests of AP, as YS Jagan himself had explicitly stated. There was no question of a poll alliance between the two, considering the TRS would not contest a single seat in AP and had no role in the political scene of the state.

Bhumana wondered why Chandrababu and his partymen were so panicky about the meeting whose purpose was clearly spelt out. Why is Chandrababu so scared? He said that YS Jagan and other party leaders had clearly stated that talks were in a preliminary stage regarding the Federal Front. YS Jagan had also asserted that the state's interests and Special Category Status (SCS) would occupy highest priority for the YSRCP.

Bhumana pointed out that KCR had already expressed his clear support to the cause of Special Category Status to AP. He also reminded media persons that Chandrababu Naidu had forged an electoral pact with TRS in 2009, wondering whether he did so in the interests of AP at that time. Didn't Chandrababu not only invite KCR to Amaravati, but get his name engraved on the foundation stone?, he questioned. Didn't TDP leaders fall over each other trying to fawn on KCR at minister Paritala Sunitha's son's wedding?, he asked. He also cited the example of Devineni Uma who welcomed and honoured KCR with a shawl during the Telangana chief minister's visit to Kanakadurgamma temple. Bhumana flayed the TDP supremo for his double standards, which is true to Chandrababu's nature.

The senior YSRCP leader slammed Chandrababu Naidu and his partymen for indulging in indiscriminate loose talk after KTR's meeting with YS Jagan. Chandrababu has unleashed a false propaganda narrative through his select media outlets, Bhumana said. Now, when the Telangana chief minister himself calls up YS Jagan to broach the topic of a Federal Front, Chandrababu and other TDP leaders call it an immoral alliance.

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister came running away to Amaravati though Hyderabad could have been the joint capital for ten years, he said. The senior YSRCP leader said that Chandrababu decided to move overnight to Amaravati after being caught redhanded in the Note-for-Vote case, inconveniencing lakhs of employees, in the process.

"Chandrababu Naidu shamelessly terms us vultures, when he is neck-deep in corruption of the worst kind," Bhumana said. The senior YSRCP leader pointed out that YS Jagan did not enjoy a single day in office and even when the late Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy was the chief minister, YS Jagan stayed away from Hyderabad and was in Bangalore. It was out of sheer spite and vindictiveness that Sonia Gandhi colluded with Chandrababu Naidu to implicate YS Jagan in false cases, he added.

Bhumana stated that Chandrababu was forever in search of new electoral partners and had never contested alone. He now placed the TDP which was founded to oppose the Congress by NTR, at the feet of Rahul Gandhi.

Bhumana reminded mediamen that YS Jagan and his party had always fought for SCS from the time of the bifurcation of the state. Chandrababu, who hailed the special package given by the Modi government, and passed a resolution in the state assembly thanking PM Modi for the special package, made a complete U-turn stung by the impact of the YSRCP's relentless struggle for SCS, during the course of which YS Jagan emerged as a hero.

Bhumana said that Chandrababu is synonymous with opportunistic politics.

Bhumana observed that the TDP government is responsible for the loot of 11 lakh crore rupees of tax payers' money over the past four and a half years. The senior YSRCP leader remarked that Chandrababu had institutionalized corruption and turned every TDP worker into a corrupt individual. National and international media have described Chandrababu Naidu as the wealthiest chief minister and the most corrupt one, he said. Bhumana compared Chandrababu Naidu's 40 year experience in politics to the most foul-smelling sewer for sheer scale of corruption.
