Hearing On NIA Petition in YS Jagan Attack Case Postponed

Vijayawada: The court of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge here has adjourned the hearing in the murder attempt on the life of the Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. It may be recalled that the Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly had been attacked in a vicious attempt on life by Janupalli Srinivasa Rao in the VIP lounge of the Vizag airport on October 25,2018.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) authorities produced the attacker Janupalli Srinivasa Rao before the court on Friday and filed a petition seeking custody of the accused. Since no counter was filed to the NIA petition, the court kept the matter pending and sent the accused to judicial remand till 25th of this month.
The court handed over a copy of the custody petition to the attacker.
