YS Jagan Requests SIT To Postpone Recording Statement
Visakhapatnam: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly and YSR Congress party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has requested the Special Investigation team (SIT) to postpone the recording of his statement , as part of the probe on his attack at the Visakhapatnam Airport. YS Jagan had made this request as he had filed a case in the High Court requesting to hand over the investigation to an independent agency which is not under the control of the State government for which directions from the court are still pending.
As part of the investigation the SIT in-charge, B V S Nageswara Rao had issued a notice to YS JaganMohan Reddyunder Sec 160 of the CrPc and asked him to depose before them or if he is unable to do so, he should give a time, place and date so that they would come and meet him and record the statement.

YS Jagan in response to the notice had mentioned that the case is pending in High Court and the court has adjourned the matter to the 27 of November for further hearing. Since the matter is yet to be settled in court , he has asked the SIT to take cognizance of this and postpone the recording of his statement and wait till the final matter is settled.
