Chandrababu, Rank Opportunist: YSRCP

AP CM Chandrababu Naidu - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Stating that the opportunist politics of Chandrababu Naidu has come to the fore, in the full glare of the nation once again with his meeting of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, YSR Congress has said the TDP leader had always been leaning on others’ shoulders and had never won elections on his own. ‘It is ironic that Chandrababu Naidu should join hands with Congress as NTR has founded the Party on an anti-Congress plank and had brought together all non-Congress Parties together but now things have slipped to rock bottom of opportunism as he has been joining the very party which has ditched people of Andhra Pradesh,’ party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu told reporters here on Thursday.

On earlier occasions, Chandrababu went hammer and tongs against Congress and called Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi names but now he seems to have totally surrendered with his Delhi trip shattering the ideology of TDP.

Chandrababu Naidu's history shows that he has never contested an election on his own and always needed a presentable face and orator from other parties and always worked from behind the scenes. He usurped the Party and power from NTR through a midnight coup and went with BJP in 1999 and after the subsequent debacle he dubbed BJP as communal and even went to the extent of telling that Narendra Modi should not be allowed to the state blaming him for the Godhra violence.

When opportunity came and YSR Congress was brimming with confidence in 2014, he went to the same Narendra Modi forgetting his previous tantrums and also tied up with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena but could manage to win by a wafer thin margin of vote percentage, he said.

Now when his stock tumbled and after severing links with Modi, for reasons best known to him, he started looking towards Congress and the feelers were sent during the Karnataka elections itself and now there is conclusive evidence.

Chandrababu, who lacks morals and courage, has stooped to such a level that he is willing to join hands with anyone to serve his purpose. Political affiliations are common in politics but a party like TDP joining hands with Congress is weird as the it was born as an anti-Congress platform and the TDP leader’s latest move shows his raw opportunism, he said.
