YS Jagan Attacker Not Cooperating: AP Police
Visakhapatnam: City police commissioner Mahesh Chandra Ladda said that Srinivasa Rao, the person who attacked Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was in the pink of his health. Speaking to media here today, he briefed the developments in the investigation on the attack on YS Jagan.
Ladda said that the attacker, Srinivasa Rao's health was stable and that only a general checkup was conducted today. Adding that the assailant did not co-operate with the investigation, he said that the police were examining three bank accounts belonging to him in--State Bank of India, Vijaya Bank and Andhra Bank. Until now, 35 people who were related to the incident were questioned, he informed.
Addressing doubts over the attacker's security, the Commissioner ensured that while Srinivasa Rao is under police custody, there would not be any threat to his life. "We have sent the police to find out about the attacker's friends in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha," he added.
Earlier today, Srinivasa Rao was brought to the King George Hospital here, for conducting medical tests. At the time, he made some shocking comments stating he feared for his life and expressed fears that he could be harmed.
