Fear Of Election Loss Behind YS Jagan Attack: YSRCP
Hyderabad: Official spokesperson of the YSR Congress party (YSRCP) TJR Sudhakar Babu said that the attack on Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was rooted in fear of losing the upcoming elections. Speaking at a press conference here at the party office today, he said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son, minister Nara Lokesh were exploiting their power. The YSRCP leader added that the party had no trust in the AP police and did not believe that they would carry out a fair probe.
Sudhakar Babu said that the manner in which Chandrababu and the DGP spoke on the incident was unfortunate. The TDP leaders are attacking us not only verbally but also politically, he observed. To ensure the transfer of benefits of the schemes introduced by late Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy reach all the beneficiaries is the goal of the YSRCP Chief, he added.
"In all stages of the government, unconstitutional acts are prevalent. Paid artist Shivaji has to be arrested and a probe has to be ordered in his claims. Chandrababu, who is an expert in trickery, is travelling to Delhi for no reason. A fair investigation by a Central agency has to be carried out in YS Jagan attack," he demanded.
Operation Garuda Is Chandrababu's Plan: Gopireddy
YSRCP MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy lashed out at Chandrababu for the attack on AP Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Adding that the Operation Garuda idea was floated by Chandrababu, he said that the AP CM planned the YS Jagan's murder.
"The truth would be unearthed if actor Sivaji is questioned by the police. DGP Thakur is behaving like a TDP agent. That an MLA and a former MLA were murdered is a reflection on the law and order status in the State," he said.
