Srikakulam: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Ram Mohan Naidu today had a bitter experience in the district. He was touring the region to offer sympathy to the victims of cyclone Titli. Earlier today, the Srikakulam MP visited Panaganiputtuga Village in Kaviti Mandal in the district. After he faced flak from the angered victims, a humiliated Ram Mohan Naidu had to turn back and leave the village.

Speaking to media here, the TDP MP said that the State government had taken all kinds of relief measures and that drinking water and other facilities were provided to the locals. Meanwhile, the cyclone victims rued about lack of electricity in the region.

"We did not get any support from the government. Till now, the electricity supply is yet to be restored. Not a single officer has visited the villages to inquire and estimate the crop loss incurred due to the calamity," they said. Ram Mohan Naidu disappeared from the village after the locals blamed him for roaming around rather than offering help.
