Scam In Every TDP Scheme, Loot In Chandrababu’s Rule: BJP MP GVL

Hyderabad: If it wasn't for the alliance with us in 2014, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would have been washed out from the mainstream politics, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP GVL Narasimha Rao said. Admitting that the alliance with the TDP was a blunder, the BJP spokesperson in an interview to Sakshi TV said that the alliance was formed in the circumstances prevailing back then in 2014 elections.

GVL said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was creating problems for the BJP's growth in the State. We have lost a great deal in the two Telugu States due to the alliance with the TDP, he added.

Recalling Chandrababu's request for a special package instead of the Special Category Status (SCS), he said that the party stands by its word for AP's development. It was Chandrababu Naidu who had stated back then that SCS was of no use and that the package was the best form of assistance for the State's welfare, he recalled.

"Chandrababu's opportunistic nature is causing damage to the State. Every scheme has a scandal integral to it in the TDP rule. The TDP Chief's only interest is to feed his benamis with illegal money. It is natural that the IT raids would be carried out on suspicious entities," he added.

Why are the TDP leaders scared if they have not done anything wrong? he asked to know. Chandrababu, who could not submit the Utilization Certificates to the Centre, is blaming the Centre to cover up his corrupt practices, GVL said.

The BJP MP clarified that the State government was given enough funds for the development under the special package.
