Chandrababu, A Loyal Friend Of BJP: YSRCP MLA Amjad Basha

Anantapur: YSRCP MLA Amjad Basha described Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu as a permanent, loyal friend of the BJP. At an interactive convention for the Muslim fraternity, "Har dil me YSRCP", held here under the leadership of former MP Ananta Venkatrami Reddy, said there was no doubt about the fact that Chandrababu Naidu had a lasting relationship with the BJP and was a trusted friend of the party in power at the Centre.

Amjad Basha also said that there was no need to clarify that the YSRCP was a secular party. He said that the party's secular credentials were clearly established. The YSRCP MLA added that the party was firm on going it alone and would not have any alliances.

Former IG of Police Mohd. Iqbal said that the TDP was behaving in a vindictive manner towards the Muslim community. He cited the instance of the many promises Chandrababu Naidu had made to the Muslim community, none of which were fulfilled. YSRCP general secretary Rehman added that the AP chief minister would put a chameleon to shame, and that he went in for an opportunistic alliance frequently. Addressing members of the Muslim community gathered there, former MP Anantarami Reddy said that Chandrababu had betrayed the Muslims. It was shameful that the AP chief minister viewed Muslims as a vote bank.
