Amaravati: Former Union minister and TDP leader, Sujana Choudary asserted that he was not scared of investigation by the income tax authorities. Speaking to the media here he said that income tax officials "come and go." He suggested that there is not much that they can do.

Sujana Choudary added that IT raids of the past and those being conducted now were different. He said that the statement of the central steel minister on the issue of the Kadapa steel plant came as a surprise to them. To say that the AP government had not sent the required information is far from true, he asserted.

Sujana Choudary claimed that the state government had furnished all the relevant details for the setting up of a steel plant with a capacity of three million tonnes and advised the steel ministry to scrutinise the information they were provided with. All details were given to the Centre 7 times in all, he said. The TDP government would once again do so on Monday and sought the Centre's approval.

The TDP leader alleged that the NDA government was being vindictive in its approach towards Andhra Pradesh. He further said that the BJP actions amounted to a threat to democracy.
