CM Ramesh Summoned To Hyd By IT Officials
Hyderabad: Sleuths of the Income Tax department have asked Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu's confidant CM Ramesh to come to Hyderabad. In the context of the ongoing IT raids in his residences, companies and offices across Telangana and AP since last two days, CM Ramesh's anticipated return to the city gained prominence. According to reports, the Rajya Sabha member has left New Delhi to the city after the IT officials have found some of the lockers need his finger prints to be unlocked.
Starting Friday morning, around 90 to 100 officials have been searching CM Ramesh's residences in Hyderabad and Potladurthi in YSR Kadapa district, along with the associate companies of Rithwik Properties, a company owned by his associates. It is learnt that the IT department conducted the raids based on reports of undisclosed income in the TDP leader's engineering, infrastructure contracts and mining related businesses. In the last three years, the incomes in his business have reportedly increased multi-fold.
