Rousing Reception For YS Jagan In Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra is progressing successfully on Day 263 in Pendurthi constituency in the district. Thousands of people thronged the route of the padayatra. Amid thousands of people who came in to meet the people's leader, Boxing player Boggu Mounika met YS Jagan and said that the government felicitates players only when they succeed, but no assistance is provided during preparations to various competitions.
A national level Boxer with experience of participation in various international and national events, Mounika urged YS Jagan to facilitate her sponsorship.
When the YSRCP Chief reached Dabbanda Cross via SR Puram, women, farmers and students welcomed him. Representatives of the Vizag Steel Plant Executive Association met YS Jagan and asked for allotment of iron ore mines in Odisha and Jharkhand to the plant since the mineral was scarce in Andhra Pradesh. They said that due to the scarcity, the plant's capacity of steel production was affected.
The representatives requested YS Jagan for allotment of 1 acre land at Amaravati for construction of the steel plant's Marketing & Finance office, in addition to allotment of 10 acres land at Vijayawada and Tirupati for setting up the market yards. Also, the steel plant representatives asked YS Jagan for pay revisions and abolition of affordability clause for the employees.
YS Jagan received complaints and queries on various issues from students, farmers and the physically challenged, among others.
