Chandrababu Has Reduced TDP To A Party Of Lies

Chandrababu Naidu - Sakshi Post

Kommineni Srinivasa Rao

Judging from the way Chandrababu Naidu has been speaking, one wonders whether a man who claims to have four decades of political experience can speak in this fashion?  Parties tend to criticise other parties, politicians other politicians for power and to further their own political objectives. However, Chandrababu seems to be speaking driven by if you’re of defeat.

Victory and defeat are two sides of the coin in politics. It is important however, not to lower the standard of political discourse in the country.  Some of the reports which appeared in newspapers cause consternation.  These are of course, select media outlets which favour Chandrababu Naidu.

Everybody saw the number of Muslims who attended Chandrababu’s specially convened meeting called Nara Hamara.  However,  if one were to go by reports in the sections of the media, many Muslims had attended the convention. This led to a sense of envy among opposition parties, these newspapers alleged.

If really a number of Muslims did attend the convention as reported, where is the problem with a few youth holding placards? Will they become traitors and anti-nationals? Why was the same rule not replied to some people who claimed to represent the Kapu community during YS Jagan’s Padayatra? In fact the police went out of its way to protect the demonstrators at that time.

Is this how a government ought to function? The other interesting question is—if Muslims were really on Chandrababu‘s side, why did the police have to subject them to harassment and torture?  Is it not fear that Muslims are not with the ruling party , which seem to drive the TDP’s actions?

They accuse YSRCP of having a track record of such activities.

If Chandrababu Naidu's allegations had been true, from which party's office were hundreds of phone calls  made on day of Paritala Ravi's death, for hundreds of buses? Chandrababu accused YSRCP of being behind the Tuni agitation. If this is indeed true, why couldn't they arrest any YSRCP activists in this case? Is the chandrababu Naidu Government so lame? When Chandrababu Naidu accused 'Rayalaseema Rowdies' of being responsible for the violence, why did the police arrest members of the Kapu community? Banana and sugarcane crops were burnt near Amaravati by the ruling party men and they shamelessly blamed YSRCP for it. Why is it that no cases were registered and none arrested in the matter? When YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy takes up a protest or demonstration, it is termed as a disturance by Chandrababu and his men. Chandrababu Naidu who had warned people against agitating for special category status to the state is spending crores of rupees protesting for it now! Chandrababu and his men claim that YS Jagan had warned officials of punitive action under the YSRCP rule. Perhaps Chandrababu does not remember the number of police officers he had warned when he was in the Opposition. Probably he also has no memory of the number of times Rosaiah who was then a minister reprimanded him for wagging his finger in the assembly. TDP men had gone to the extent of blocking the then chief minister Vijaybhaskar Reddy's convoy. Forgetting all such unlawful activities of his partymen, Chandrababu accuses the Leader of Opposition of encouraging such things. Who is responsible for the stampede which took place in the Godavari Pushkarams resulting in the loss of innocent lives? Why was the CCTV footage related to the incident not made public? Why was no action taken against TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar when he misbehaved with a lady MRO. Why did he bring about a reconciliation between IPS officer Balasubramaniam and TDP's strongmen Kesineni Nani and Bonda Uma.

Why was a case not registered against TDP MP JC Diwakar Reddy who abused airport officials in Vizag? One can cite a long list of such instances which are a disgrace to the TDP and to the people of the state. TDP was once considered to be a party with some values. Chandrababu Naidu has not only tarnished the image to the party but lowered public discourse by indulging in mudslinging for political gains. However, falsehoods cannot last for long.
