BJP Demands Probe Into Sivaji’s Operation Garuda

Actor Sivaji - Sakshi Post

Kurnool: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh unit Vice President Kapileshwarayya lambasted actor Sivaji for trying to spread false propaganda in the name of Operation Garuda. He alleged that Sivaji gave rise to a new debate by saying that the Centre would serve notices to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu as part of the Operation. He added that although the BJP asked the police to investigate on Operation Garuda, the police did not respond.

Kapileshwarayya said that with the way Sivaji was supporting Chandrababu Naidu in all respects, a suspicion would arise if he is a benami of Chandrababu. "The State police should immediately carry out an investigation over Operation Garuda, since Sivaji was trying to spark a controversy over it. The police should verify if Sivaji really has a threat to his life," he demanded.

The BJP leader went on to say that the Centre had earlier requested the States to reduce the excise tax on petrol by Rs 10. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is the reason behind the soaring fuel prices, he added.

Kapileshwarayya remarked that like nowhere else in the rest of the country, only in Andhra Pradesh the fuel prices were so high.
