Anam Ramanarayana To Join YSRCP on Sept 2

Anam Ramanarayana Reddy with Kakani Govardhan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Nellore: Former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy is all set to join YSR Congress Party on September 2, which also happens to be the death anniversary of former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. It is understood that Anam would go to Visakhapatnam district, where YSRCP President and Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is on his mass outreach programme, Praja Sankalpa Yatra and in presence of YSRCP Chief would join the party.

Anam was minister in Dr YSR government and was also in the Congress government. Later with the political equations changing in the bifurcated state, he joined TDP. But with TDP not giving Anam due importance and in view of the disproportionate corruption prevailing in the ruling party, he had kept himself away from the party for the last two months.

The ruling TDP and its misrule in the state drove Anam along with his followers towards YSRCP. He had also met YS Jagan in this regard. Anam would be joining the party along with important leaders and MLAs. It is understood that after joining YSRCP in the presence of YS Jagan, Anam was planning to hold a public meeting in Nellore.

Meanwhile YSRCP Nellore Parliamentary constituency president and Sarvepalli MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy met Anam at his house of Friday. It is learnt that Govardhan Reddy had met the former minister to invite him to the party as well as finalise the date of his joining YSRCP.
