Chandrababu A Bad Example For TDP Cadre In Misusing Public Money
Vijayawada: Former Minister and official spokesperson of YSR Congress party (YSRCP) Parthasarathi accused the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders of misusing public money for personal needs. Speaking at a press conference here today, Parthasarathi said that Minister Devineni Uma diverted the funds allocated to farmers of the Krishna Delta to build a walking track in the city. He questioned the TDP leaders who went on foreign visits with public money.
Parthasarathi said that AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu spent Rs 2.80 lakh for his root canal treatment in Singapore. "Why did Yanamala visit Singapore when he could get the treatment done in the State for Rs 10,000?" he questioned. He observed that members of the TDP used public funds for the construction of their houses.
The YSRCP leader asserted that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was a role model for TDP leaders, in showing them how to spend public funds for personal use. Chandrababu, who was in romance with both the Congress and the BJP, is only concerned about his family, and not about public problems, he said. He added that Minister Uma had benefitted from the modernization work of the Krishna Delta. He said that the TDP leaders had exploited all the natural resources in the State.
The AP CM received widespread criticism across the country for spending Rs 8,72,485 when he attended the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru earlier this year.
