Kanigiri (Ongole): Yesterday, it was a free for all the TDP leaders in Kanigiri. It has been already reported that former YSR Congress Party MP from Ongole, YV Subba Reddy had planned to go on a padayatra from Kanigiri protesting against the TDP government's negligent attitude towards Veligonda project. This had triggered anger amongst the TDP cadre and to disturb the padayatra they had been trying various means.

On Tuesday night, the TDP leaders attacked the flexi posters of padayatra and tore them down. The flexi posters were all across the Kanigiri town. The TDP leaders replaced the flexis with those of TDP banners and flexis, the YSRCP leaders said. Surprisingly all these activities happened right in front of the police who chose to remain silent spectators to TDP's atrocities.

The YSRCP leaders said that when they questioned the TDP leaders they attacked them. This led to a tens situation in the town. Later YSRCP leaders protested over the attitude of the police and said that unable to tolerate the idea of padayatra by Subba Reddy, the TDP had resorted to such acts.
