Betrayals, U-Turns Mark Chandrababu Rule: Botsa
Visakhapatnam: YSR Congress party (YSRCP) senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana lambasted Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu over his irresponsible attitude towards the implementation of Kapu reservation. Speaking at a press conference here today, the former Minister said that Chandrababu handed over the issue to the Centre after passing a resolution in the State Assembly, without taking into consideration the findings of the Manjunatha Commission report. "Isn't it Chandrababu who took a U-turn on his reservation promise? Wasn't it Chandrababu who booked activists from the Kapu community under various cases?" Botsa questioned. The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders twisted the words of Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's comments over Kapu reservation issue, he added.
YSRCP intends to provide reservations to the Kapu community without causing any damage to the interests of the Backward Classes. "The State government till now has removed 16 lakh votes from the voter list. The YSRCP will complain to the Election Commission on this issue," he said.
Botsa observed that most of the irrigation projects were completed under late Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy's regime. "Under whose rule was the Galeru-Nagari project completed?" he questioned.
Chandrababu, who had indulged in large-scale corruption in the Pattiseema and Pushothapatnam projects, should immediately release a white paper on the spendings, the YSRCP leader demanded. He commented that the AP CM's life was full of U-turns and betrayals. On August 9, we will stage a "Vanchana Pai Garjana" protest in Guntur to demand implementation of bifurcation promises, Botsa said.
