TDP Foisting False Cases For Standing By Women: Roja

Tirupati: YSR Congress Party MLA RK Roja said that the TDP government was framing cases against opposition leaders who questioned government actions. Speaking at a function organised here today, she said there was no safety for women in Andhra Pradesh under Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's rule.

Roja pointed out that Chandrababu was anti-women. She said false cases had been foisted against her for fighting for women's issues. "If the government thinks that I would fear and stop the fight for justice, it is their misconception," she observed.

She said that she had a lot of respect for the police department, but Nagari CI was behaving like a TDP agent. The CI's behaviour had angered her, Roja added.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP leader garnered support from Chittoor district party women's leader Gayatri Devi. A protest was held at the Gandhi Statue here under Gayatri Devi's leadership. The protest programme saw large participation of people and YSRCP leaders.
