Chandrababu Questioned The Importance Of SCS: Undavalli
New Delhi: Former MP from Rajahmundry Undavalli Arun Kumar recalled Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's words on Special Category Status (SCS) to the state and said that AP CM had then questioned how SCS was useful. At a Meet the Press programme here today, he said one year before the elections, Chandrababu was politicising the issue and trying to come to power once again.
Undavalli said BJP had clearly mentioned that it was not possible to accord SCS to AP. SCS would be possible only when Congress comes back to power in the Centre. He clarified that he would not join any political party. State bifurcation was not a mistake, but the bill was passed against constitutional rules.
He further said, Leader of Opposition in AP assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was more popular among the people of the state. Everyone believed that YSRCP would win the elections in 2014. He said Chandrababu being a political manipulator changed the things in the last minute. Pawan Kalyan would know his actual strength only after touring the entire state, he added.
