Gap Between Ganta, Chandrababu Widens
Amaravati: The conspicuous absence of human resource development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao from the state cabinet meet called by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was nothing but a clear indication that all is not well between the two. The rift began when AP CM did not respond to Ganta's call for intervention a PIL filed against him in a land-grabbing case. The minister suspected that filing of PIL against him was the handiwork of some TDP leaders. With Chandrababu not responding favourably, he is keeping himself aloof from major party activities and government meetings.
Adding fuel to fire was the recent reconciliation that was planned through Bhimli MP Avanti Srinivas. Ganta felt insulted on this issue as well. Moreover the state government had conducted a survey which was aimed only at humiliating Ganta. The TDP itself had been publicising that the minister has a lot of opposition in the constituency, a furious Ganta has been saying.

The HRD minister was in a dilemma whether to participate in upcoming CM's Visakhapatnam visit or boycott. Ganta would be meeting his associates, well-wishers and supporters this evening to decide the future course of action.
