Anchor-Actress Mallika Passes Away At 39

Hyderabad: Popular TV anchor-turned-actress Mallika passed away in Bengaluru on Monday after suffering from a prolonged illness. She slipped into coma two weeks back during treatment and breathed her last in a hospital in Bengaluru. Popularly known as Tring Tring Mallika for Telugu audience, she acted in Venkatesh’s Kalisundam Raa, Ninne Pelladutha and many other movies.
Mallika(39) started her career as an anchor and then made a mark for herself as actor with her talent in some popular serials before making an entry into Tollywood.
The details of her illness were not revealed by the family. It was also not clear why she was shifted to Bangalore from her home in Hyderabad. Her funeral was performed here on Tuesday.
Mallika was very popular as an anchor and actress on small screen during '90s and early 2000s. After her marriage, she stopped acting and devoted herself completely to family life.
