Amrapali Is A Telugu Lady

Over the last few years IAS Officer Amrapali has been popular on social media. She is regularly seen on television channels and has carved a special identity for herself not within the two Telugu states, but across the country.

But did you know she is Telugu lady? Amrapali is from Narsapuram Agraharam on the outskirts of Ongole in Prakasham district. The place is popularly known as N Agraharam. Currently she is the Collector Warangal (Urban and Rural)and has made a mark for herself in the district

Amrapali belongs to the 2010 batch and secured the 39th Rank in IAS. Her father is Kaataa Venkat Reddy, who is from N Agraharam. He completed his early education from the same place, did his higher studies in Tangaturu, completed his PG in Economics from Andhra University in Visakhapatnam and went on to become professor in the same university. He got married to his niece Padmavati from neighbouring village Aalakoorapadu. Even today the family owns a house in N Agraharam.

There are several civil servants in their family. Apart from with Amrapali, her sister Manasa Gangotri is in Indian Revenue Services (IRS). She is presently part of Karnataka cadre and working in Income Tax department. She belongs to the 2007 IRS batch and secured 184 rank. Her husband Praveen Kumar is from Tamil Nadu and is an IPS officer of 2010 batch, who is currently working as director of women's welfare department.

Amrapali is likely to get married on February 18. Her fiancee Shameer Sharma is also an IPS officer of 2011 batch and belongs to Jammu. At present he is SP of Diu-Daman. They both are getting married in Jammu and will host a reception in Secunderabad Club on February 25 .
