Telangana Govt Plans to Construct 3 Lakh Houses in Next Five Years

Jagtial: Telangana industries and IT minister KT Rama Rao that their government was planning to construct three lakh double bedroom houses in the next five years. Speaking on the occasion of laying foundation stone for construction houses near hear, the minister said the housing scheme implemented by Telangana was the largest in the country.

The minister was participating the in the function held to market the construction of 4,160 double bedroom houses taken up at the cost Rs 230 crore at Nukapalli. KTR said that the government had already announced construction of 2.72 lakh houses and now another three lakh houses would be added to it. In total the government would be spending Rs 18,000 crore for the housing scheme.

Recalling the former united Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy's words that Telangana would plunge into darkness after bifurcation, KTR said that their government has proved him to be wrong by providing 24 hours power supply to the farm sector.

KTR promised all-round development of Jagtial. Very soon Jagtial would have food processing units, he asserted and added that local unemployed people will find employment in these units.
