Support welling up for Jagan’s Deeksha

Students from across the universities in Andhra Pradesh are coming out in unequivocal support of YSRCP chief YS Jagan’s Deeksha. The issue of special status to Andhra Pradesh state, which made Jagan to take to warpath, is already a hot topic of discussion in the universities.

The students would be among the first group to be hit by the absence of special status to Andhra Prdesh. Thy are opposed to special packages, which Chandrababu Naidu is so happy to accept and demand that a special status is the only solutions to the woes that the AP is subjected to.

Sri Krishnadevaraya University:

At Anantapur, the students of SKU have resolved to extend unstinted support to the deeksha of YS Jagan which is beginning on Wednesday. They said already five students have ended their lives for the sake of special status and achieving it is the best way to pay tributes to them.

Andhra University:

The students of AU have organized a special discussion on the issue on Tuesday and discussed the pros and cons. The students have decided to support the deekhsa. They said special status will help in getting more investments and more industries to the state.

Etcherla:

The students of BRU in Srikakulam’s Etcherla have demanded special status to the state and strongly criticized the State government for trying to obstruct YS Jagan’s Deeksha. The students of engineering college in Tekkali also held a meeting and extended their support to the agitation.

Vizianagaram:

The student community of Vizianagaram have extended support to YS Jagan’s deeksha. They said they would join the Jagan’s deeksha, which will begin at Guntur on Wednesday. Students from Satya Degree College, Satya PG College, MR, Seetam Engineering College and other colleges joined the meeting to express their solidarity.

West Godavari:

The students of Karibandi Subbarao College extended their support to the agitation of the YSRCP. They said the special status would ensure that the prices come down and the life standards will improve. They said the economy of the state would witness an upswing if the state is given the special status.

Ongole:

At Ongole, a meeting was organized at Nagarjuna Degree College under the aegis of AP Special Status Achievement Council district convener Shamsher Ahmed.

Kurnool:

The students of Kurnool in voice supported the special status to the state of Andhra Pradesh. They slammed the TDP and the BJP for going back on the promise they gave to the people at the time of the bifurcation. The students have expressed their solidarity with YS Jagan.

Nellore:

Students of Sri Chaitanya and other colleges organized a special debate on the issue. They said that special status is a remedy for unemployment and that the state will achieve development only when the special status is given.

Woman Killed in Uri during Pakistan Firing Overnight, Multiple Others Injured.

A woman was killed and four other civilians were injured in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district as the Pakistan army intensified artillery fire across the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir, officials said, adding that a large number of houses have also been damaged in the cross-border shelling.

Reports state that a Pakistani shell struck the vehicle the woman was traveling in, resulting in her death. The woman was identified as Nargis Bashir, and some of her family members had boarded a vehicle to flee from the Razarwani village in Uri that was hit by the mortar and artillery shells from Pakistan.

Delhi Tests Air Raid Sirens as Part of Mock Drill

In an attempt to educate and make people aware about the consequences of war amid Pakistan's continuous firing in the border states, the Delhi government did a mock drill to test air raid sirens installed at the Public Works Department (PWD) at ITO and asked people to not react out of panic. 

District Magistrate (Central) G. Sudhakar also urged people to remain calm and not be alarmed when they hear the sirens.

At least twice, sirens sounded during the drill, which started at 3 pm.

PWD Minister Parvesh Verma said 40-50 more such sirens will be installed across the national capital, each of which will cover an area of 8 km.

Innocent Civilians Along LOC Move to Safer Areas Amid Pakistan Shelling

Residents present in Rajouri along the Line of Control have started moving to safer areas after heavy cross-border shelling and attempted drone and missile attacks last night by Pakistan. All drone and missile attacks were intercepted and foiled by India's air defence system.

Pakistan Claims Economic Affairs Social Media Accout Hacked

Pakistan has claimed that its Economic Affairs Division account on social media has been hacked and called the post where it appealed for more loans from the international community owing to losses from Operation Sindoor "fake." 

In a post on X, Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fact Checker shared a picture of the post and mentioned that it was "fake." Additionally, it asserted that the account had undergone hacking.

A missile-like object is found deep inside the Dal Lake after loud explosions were heard on Saturday morning in Srinagar, which is a major tourist attraction. The defense ministry also confirms that Pakistan has intruded into Srinagar's airspace in a press release.

India Pakistan War Live! Kashmir Loses Electricity in Various Parts

Since the early hours of Saturday morning (10th May), Srinagar has been rocked with multiple explosions, and now electricity is taken off in various places across Kashmir. The reason for this is yet to be determined, as reports indicate multiple places in Kashmir have lost power. The Indian Army released a statement after the press briefing, where they mentioned that they have attacked and neutralized multiple terrorist launchpads in a coordinated fire assault, razing them to cinders.
