Hyderabad: Umpire Sundaram Ravi, a member of ICC’s Elite Panel of International Umpires, was in the eye of a storm when he missed a no-ball off the last delivery from Lasith Malinga in Mumbai Indians’ clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Let's have a rewind about the umpiring howlers in recent times:

.In 2018, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Umpire KN Ananthapadmanabhan made a terrible howler.

The umpire had signalled the fifth delivery of the 16th over bowled by KKR paceman Tom Curran as a no ball for overstepping.

However, the replays clearly showed that it wasn't a no ball and the bowler’s foot was well under the line.

.In yet another match between the KKR and Kings XI Punjab, Australia’s Andrew Tye was a victim umpiring howler.

Tye was bowling to Robin Uthappa when one of his deliveries in the sixth over was adjudged as a no-ball. The replays had suggested that his foot was well behind the line.
