No one can stop the rising Sun: Sharmila

"Amma! this government has come on the wings of YSR. But this is not YSR government. This chief minister doesn't understand the problems of the people. YSR implemented all the welfare schemes without placing the burdening of even a single rupee on the public. But the present CM has increased all the rates. On the other hand, all the hit schemes of YSR have been sidelined. They are drawing the blood of people by collecting tax," said YSR Congress Party leader Sharmila.
Sharmila reacted this way after the villagers of Raghavapuram told her how all the rates had gone up putting a heavy burden on them. They also said that because of this, they are unable to make ends meet. As a result, instead of sending their children to schools, they are forced to make them work for money. Even daily wages and money earned by children is not enough to survive, they lamented.
"In Kiran's regime, fee reimbursement scheme was modified. Arogyasree is disease-ridden. 108,104 ambulances that were meant to save lives are hardly seen. With this kind of negligence, he has put AP in a state of darkness. The government fails to provide adequate power supply, but the bill comes on time. We don't get even four hours of power supply. But there's a surcharge on bills. The government has put a burden of Rs. 30,000 crores in the name of surcharges," she added.
The Rachabanda Programme at Raghavapuram village in Chintalapudi was thronged by farmers, women and volunteers in large numbers. Sharmila who gave a patient hearing to all their problems empathised with the people and assured them that her brother will soon come out from jail and bring back Rajanna's golden rule
Lashing out at TDP chief Chandrbabau Naidu, she said "Chandrababu is supporting a government which has increased power charges. If the TDP had voted in favor of the no-confidence motion, this government would have collapsed and there would be no power burden on the public. But he did not do so. He rescued the government by standing as a protector. This sin of burdening the public not only goes to Kiran, but will be equally shared by Chandrababu. They only work for self benefits and not for the benefits of the society. Escaping a CBI probe, Naidu betrayed the public on the floor of Assembly. No one can stop the rising sun. No one can stop Jagan anna. He will soon come out from jail and bring back Rajanna's golden rule. He will give a new lease of life to all the welfare schemes implemented by late YSR that will hugely benefit the poor," the YSRCP leader said.
Sharmila's Maro Praja Prasthanam padayatra completed 147 days on Tuesday. The YSRCP leader began from old Chintalapudi of Chintalapudi mandal and continue till Krishnanagar. Sharmila will cover a distance of 11.8 kms today.

In an attempt to educate and make people aware about the consequences of war amid Pakistan's continuous firing in the border states, the Delhi government did a mock drill to test air raid sirens installed at the Public Works Department (PWD) at ITO and asked people to not react out of panic.
District Magistrate (Central) G. Sudhakar also urged people to remain calm and not be alarmed when they hear the sirens.
At least twice, sirens sounded during the drill, which started at 3 pm.
PWD Minister Parvesh Verma said 40-50 more such sirens will be installed across the national capital, each of which will cover an area of 8 km.

Pakistan has claimed that its Economic Affairs Division account on social media has been hacked and called the post where it appealed for more loans from the international community owing to losses from Operation Sindoor "fake."

A missile-like object is found deep inside the Dal Lake after loud explosions were heard on Saturday morning in Srinagar, which is a major tourist attraction. The defense ministry also confirms that Pakistan has intruded into Srinagar's airspace in a press release.
Since the early hours of Saturday morning (10th May), Srinagar has been rocked with multiple explosions, and now electricity is taken off in various places across Kashmir. The reason for this is yet to be determined, as reports indicate multiple places in Kashmir have lost power. The Indian Army released a statement after the press briefing, where they mentioned that they have attacked and neutralized multiple terrorist launchpads in a coordinated fire assault, razing them to cinders.
