Aspirants from Telugu States Shine in UPSC Civil Services Exam

New Delhi: This year Civil Services aspirants from Telugu states dominated the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) results which were declared in New Delhi on Tuesday. While Uma Harathi secured all India third rank in the civil services examination 2022, Pawan Dutta from Tirupati and Tarun Patnaik of Rajahmundry in East Godavari district got 22nd and 33rd ranks respectively. 

It took five attempts for the UPSC third ranker Uma Harathi, daughter of Superintendent of Police of Narayanpet district in Telangana, to clear the country’s toughest competitive exam with flying colours.

Tarun cracked the Civil services while serving as a trainee officer with the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in Shimla. Yenugu Sivamaruthi Reddy of Jagtial district secured 132 rank and B Vinutna of Ongole in Prakasam district got 462 rank in the Civil Services 2022 final results.

This year 933 candidates have qualified for the civil services examination 2022. Among them, 613 men and 320 women have cleared the UPSC exams. The top 25 candidates comprise 14 women and 11 men, according to a release.
