Man murdered for attempting to rape

In a shocking incident, Gangaiah a resident of Gundlapadu village in Veldurthi mandal in Guntur district allegedly tried to rape a woman, but was later  murdered by the relatives of the lady.

The incident has taken place on Saturday.  

The man allegedly tried to rape the lady when she was going to her agricultural land in the village. The lady managed to escape his clutches and went an complained to her relatives.

Enraged, the relatives beat the culprit severely. He later succumbed to his injuries.

A case has been registered and investigations have started.
