Did you know this? Namrata is a former actress who won the Miss India Universe crown in 1993. She made her debut in Bollywood opposite Salman Khan and she later signed a film in Telugu title Vamsi with Mahesh Babu.
Mahesh and Namrata met in the summer of 2000 and it was their first film. Both of them fell in love at first sight but felt shy to express to each other. Namrata is four years older to Mahesh but despite everything they decided to take their relationship to another level. Mahesh Babu who kept his relationship a secret didn't even disclose to his parents who are veteran actors Superstar Krishna. Mahesh Babu's sister Manjula told her parents about Mahesh-Namrata love story. They finally announced their marriage in the year 2004 and fans were overjoyed with the news.
The beautiful couple got married on 10 February 2005 at Marriott in Mumbai. Mahesh family members and relatives flew down to Mumbai to take part in the wedding.
It was a traditional Indian wedding. Namrata wore a white silk saree with a green border and green glass bangles. Mahesh Babu wore a white silk dhoti and kurta.
Post wedding, she quit her acting career and the couple welcomed their first Baby Gautham Krishna in the year 2006. Next Namrata gave birth to Mahesh's little girl Sitara in the year 2012. Namrata is always a doting mother to both the kids. Mahesh too spends quality time with his wife and children. Mahesh Babu never misses a family trip between Christmas and New year every year.
