ED is totally exposed, says Sharmila

Y S Jagan's sister Sharmila was today totally dismissive of the Enforecemt Directorate's order to attach Jagan's assets.

Soon after the ED has released its order, Sharmila, accompanied by her mother and YSR Congress honourary president Vijayamma, told mediapersons in Hyderabad that the ED's directive in the quid pro quo case was totally meaningless.

"Today we have received the ED's notice saying that Sakshi's properties are being attached. The agency, in its notice said that the Hetro and Arabindo companies were benefited to the tune of Rs 22 crore and that to reciprocate this both the companies had invested Rs 29 crore in Jagan's companies. When they were benefited only by Rs 22 crore how will they invest Rs 29 crore as quid pro quo as claimed by the ED," she asked. "Even a layman would understand this and it amply reflects how meaningless the ED notice is," she observed.

The CBI is conducting a simultaneous probe into Jagan's assets case and the Emmar property case. But there was absolutely no probe into the Chandrababu Naidu's properties case. CBI did not bother to at least pay attention to the largescale irregularities committed by Chandarababu Naidu," Sharmila observed. The CBI officials had not even questioned Naidu in the IMG land case. TDP MPs had met Union Minister for Finance Chidambaram earlier today and wanted immediate action by ED against Jagan. And, within two hours, the ED had served notices," she pointed out.

Sharmila suspected a deep-rooted conspiracy to finish Jagan politically. A serious attempt is being made to infleunce theSupreme Court on the eve of the Jagan's bail petition, she added. When the CBI had changed its counsel of its own accord, unnecessary controversy had been raked up on this issue, she said and to bring home her point she pointed out the CBI's plea to the court last time seeking adjournment of the petition as it had not come prepared to the court.

"When the bail application coming up before the Supreme Court tomorrow, the notices are served. Crores of people are eagerly waiting for Jagan to come out on bail. Jagan has the blessings of all of them. YSR Congress candidates had received massive mandate in the recent by-elections," she stated.

"We fondly hope that the legal system will not succumb to such cheap tactics and that we have immense faith in the God," she observed.
