Dharmana’s visit sparks tension at Sompeta

As the anti-thermal plant activists called for protest marches to obstruct the visit of Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, tension gripped Sompeta, the coastal village in Srikakulam district on Sunday.

The police arrested about 20 workers of Environment protection committee and   deployed hundreds of security personnel to thwart the attempts to prevent the minister’s visit.
