15 held for redsanders smuggling

Tirupati Police conducted raids at Yerpedu near Srikalahasthi in Chittoor district on Thursday and seized large stacks of redsanders wood.

They also arrested 15 smugglers and seized the vehicles used by the them. Cases were registered against the the arrested persons.

Later, the smugglers were taken to Tirupati.

The seized redsanders is worth about Rs.40 lakhs in the market.
