Allu Arjun Roots For Safe Driving

Hyderabad: Tollywood hero and Stylish Star Allu Arjun on Wednesday appealed to people of Hyderabad not to violate traffic rules and not to put the lives of fellow commuters in jeopardy through their reckless driving.

"Let us all follow traffic rules. You can consume liquor but never ride vehicle after having a drink," Allu Arjun urged youngsters during an interactive awareness programme on road safety measures that was conducted by the Hyderabad police.

Hyderabad Traffic DCP AV Ranganath, City Police Commissioner Mahender Reddy, Allu Arjun and ace director Rajamouli took part in the programme which was held at Satya Sai Nigamagamam at Srinagar Colony.

Speaking on the occassion, Mahender Reddy exhorted people to transform Hyderabad to 'Safe and Secure' city. Everyone should take part in the initiative by following traffic rules keeping safety of others also in view, he said.

For this, the Hyderabad police would use Street-based technology. So far, the city has been equipped with 15,000 CCTV cameras and the police would achieve the target of installing one lakh cameras very soon, he said.
