Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Father Passes Away

Krishnaraj Rai is survived by wife Vrinda, son Aditya and Aishwarya.
Mumbai: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away on Saturday at a suburban hospital here due to health issues. Rai was hospitalised a few weeks ago and later shifted to the ICU. He was reportedly battling cancer.
"Aishwarya's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away at the Lilavati Hospital in suburban Bandra," the publicist of the actress said.
The funeral took place around 8.30 PM at Vile Parle Seva Sansthan Shamshan Bhoomi where Aishwarya's father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan also offered prayers. Krishnaraj Rai is survived by wife Vrinda, son Aditya and Aishwarya.

A host of celebrities including actors Shah Rukh Khan, Kunal Kapoor and filmmakers Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker paid their last respects to Aishwarya's father.
