'Don’t destroy agricultural lands in the name of capital'
YSRCP president and Leader of Opposition Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a blistering attack on Chandrababu Naidu government on its bulldozing tactics and said nothing could be discussed if the Government already takes a decision on the capital site.
He demanded a discussion in the assembly on the capital before the statement of the chief minister.
“How far it is justified to have a discussion after the statement of the chief minister?” asked Y.S.Jagan.
He asked the state government not to destroy the agricultural lands in the name of setting up the capital. “As many as 30 to 50,000 acres of land is needed for setting up the capital. We have no objection for setting up the capital in Krishna and Guntur districts. But, prior discussion is needed on the same,” said Y.S.Jagan.
“Discussion and voting are needed before making a final discussion on the same,” said Y.S.Jagan.
YSRCP members demanded a discussion on the same in the assembly. With this, the war of words took place between the members of TDP and YSRCP.
