Add. Joint Collector's car hits divider, dies in Anantapur

An additional joint collector lost his life when his car met with an accident in Anantapur in the wee hours of Tuesday. His son, who was sitting on the co-passenger's seat was grievously injured.

According to reports, the Bolero carrying Jayachandra and his son, turned turtle after ramming into a divider while they were returning to Anantapur from Gutti.
Jayachandra was at the steering wheel while his son was seated next to him when he lost control of the vehicle and hit the road divider which separates the highway and the service road.
The additional joint collector succumbed to his injuries on the spot. His son is undergoing treatment at the Government hospital and is said to be out of danger.
The duo had gone to Kurnool on a personal visit and on their return met Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi convener Ramesh near Gutti. They were returning in his car, and just 10 minutes before they reached their home, they met with accident.
