Actor Nikhil Calls For AP Special Status

Hyderabad: Actor Nikhil Siddhartha of Happy Days fame has come out in support for special status to Andhra Pradesh. He said he was aware that some would question him as he was just an actor, and doesn't need to plunge in political issues. Having understood the gravity of the impending situation, he said for the state to turn into urbane with high-end infrastructure is only possible through center's funding.
Interestingly, the retrospection came for Nikhil as he was filming in the state and realised that so much needs to be done. It may be recalled that, earlier the actor had supported for the special status to AP. Meanwhile, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been demanding special status. He criticised the TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and his government over its failure to achieve it.
