Actor Attempts Suicide After Co-Star Rejects Marriage Proposal

Hyderabad: A Kannada actor Huccha Venkat attempted suicide on Sunday by consuming phenyl at his residence in Bengaluru after his reality co-star refused his marriage proposal.

Venkat and Rachana participated as a team in Super Jodi season 2. Clearing the air, Rachana said that she had agreed to team up with him because he was always respectful towards women and she thought it was safe to work with him.

"When Super Jodi started, everything was fine for the first couple of weeks. But, as time flew by, I think he got attracted to me. He then asked me to marry him, to which I casually refused. But, he kept on asking me repeatedly to marry him. I kept on rejecting his proposal, and then he kept quiet all of a sudden,” she said.

She further added that despite saying no, he kept asking her with same question. Meanwhile, things were blown out of proportion at a private hospital in Malleshwaram as the staff said that Venkat was not cooperative. Currently, the actor is said to be in stable condition and is recuperating. The 34-year-old actor is not new to controversies, as before, he said that Kannada actress Ramya is his wife which the latter refuted the his allegations and filed a case against him.
