Actor Amala Paul Gets Anticipatory Bail

Thiruvananthapuram: Popular actor Amala Paul was granted anticipatory bail in a tax evasion case by the Kerala High Court, here on Wednesday.

In 2017, the actor bought a luxury car worth over Rs 1 crore by providing false address and managed to evade a tax of Rs 20 lakh. Consequently, the police registered a case against her. The Court directed Amala Paul to surrender at the local police station. After she surrendered at the Thiruvananthapuram Crime Branch on Tuesday, she was granted a bail on Wednesday on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.
