Acrimonious debate in assembly

Debate on law and order situation in the state led to acrimony.

The debate , taken up after the end of question hour on Saturday, saw both the ruling and the Opposition parties engaged in verbal duel.

Speaking in the assembly, TDP MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary demanded that YSRCP chief and leader of Oppostion YS Jagan tender an apology. He was backed by TDP men, who trooped into the well.  They raised protest slogans against the YSRCP.

Both TDP and YSRCP members were involved in heated arguments on this issue. Repeated requests by the speaker to the members to go back to their seats did not yield results.

With the continuous ruckus in the assembly, the speaker had to adjourn the house for 15 minutes.
