ACB Seizes Rs10 Crore Assets From Suspended Sub-Registrar

Hyderabad: As a part of an ongoing crackdown on the sub-registrars who have been suspended in the land scam, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday recovered Rs 10 crore worth assets from TV Ramesh Chandra Reddy who is under suspension in illegal land registrations case.

The searches were conducted at Reddy's residence and at those of his relatives in Hyderabad. The ACB also found a flat at Kothapet worth Rs6.6 lakh, a flat at Nagole worth Rs 60 lakh, 2 acres of land at Raigir worth Rs24.25 lakh, land in Kesaram worth around Rs 30 lakh in Bhongir and also a plot at Karmanghat in the city.

The officials also seized three-and-a-half kg of gold worth Rs65 lakh and also recovered bank balances of Rs1 crore, fixed deposits worth Rs30 lakh and household articles worth Rs3.5 lakh.

Earlier this week, property worth crores was recovered in separate ACB raids on Rachakonda sub registrars, and Balanagar sub registrars. The raids were conducted on the sub-registrars who involved in the multi-crore land scam.
