ACB charge-sheet nails Chandrababu in Cash for Vote - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The charge-sheet filed by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau in the cash for vote scam could pin down Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, who has been repeatedly mentioned as “Boss”, “Babu” and “Naidu” during the conversations of TDP MLA Revanth Reddy with TRS MLA Elvis Stephenson. 


According to a report in the Times of India, the supplementary charge-sheet in the case will have dirty money trail and will bring down the 'Boss' to the earth.  the charge sheet which runs 25 pages long, with 319 documents filed as evidence and 39 witness statements. The FIR was lodged on May 31, which accused 4 individuals initially. 

“We mentioned the name of Chandrababu Naidu in the charge-sheet after taking into consideration the details of conversations of the accused and also the statement of complainant Elvis Stephenson recorded by a magistrate under Section 164 of the Cr PC," ACB special public prosecutor V Surender Rao was quoted as saying in ToI. 

He also added that the forensic science lab has confirmed the authenticity of the call. 

Interestingly, the involvement of MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has not been clearly mentioned in the charge-sheet and what is role was in the scam. 
 
The prime accused TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and Harry Sebastian had mentioned the ’Boss’ and ‘Naidu’ several times over the telephonic conversation and had clearly stated that he could obtain several aids from ‘Naidu’ for Stephenson if he voted for  TDP nominee in TLC elections.  

Elvis Stephenson is a key witness in the cash for vote scam, The ACB in its charge-sheet had stated that Stephenson was offered Rs 5 crores in cash and received Rs 50 lakhs as token money.
