ACB arrests VRO for taking bribe

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today trapped an Engineer and a Village Revenue officer in Visakhapatnam and Guntur districts respectively for allegedly taking bribe.

P Vara Prasad Rao, Site Engineer in Sarva Siksha Abhiyan at Viskahapantam district was caught red-handed by the ACB officials while accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour.

In an another case, Ch Guravaiah, Village Revenue Officer in Guntur Rural was trapped by ACB officials when he accepted Rs 8,000 as bribe from a complainant for issuing title deed book in respect of his lands, an ACB release said.

Both the accused who were arrested, would be produced before court, it said.
