Abortion Ends In Disaster, Woman Dies, Lover, Doc Cool Heels In Jail

An attempt to illegally terminate the pregnancy went complety wrong for a young woman. The operation failed and the woman died. Now, her lover, who admitted into the hospital and the doctor, who performed the medical termination of pregnancy, have been arrested.

According to Vanasthalipuram police, Madhu and Harika were in a secret relation and Harika became pregnant as a result. Madhu and Harika decided to terminate the pregnancy and approached Dr Girija Rani, doctor in Kamalanagar area. He admitted her in Anusha Nursing Home. However, the operations went wrong and Harika died during the surgery.

Both Madhu and Girija Rani have been arrested and Harika's body has been kept in the mortuary of the Osmania Hospital.
